About us
About Portugal på tallriken.

Portugal på tallriken began at the kitchen table at home. Dad learned to cook piri-piri chicken from his family in Portugal. He lived in Sweden for many years and refined the recipe along the way — a little more garlic, a different chili, the right olive oil — until it became exactly this. There are as many piri-piri recipes as families in Portugal. This is ours.
Over time it has become so much more than one dish. The marinade is the heart of the Portuguese kitchen, olive oil from Alentejo is the foundation, and slow Sundays over the embers are what tie it all together. That is the feeling we want to share.
The site is growing slowly but surely — recipes, guides, an upcoming own piri-piri sauce and a pantry where we recommend ingredients we use ourselves. We share most of it first on Instagram: @portugalpatallriken. @portugalpatallriken.
